Terms of Use
Rosal
Effective date: 28 October 2026
These terms cover the Rosal app. The app is run by Francisco Barros (“we”). By using the app, you agree to them. We’ve kept them short.
The app
Rosal is a course in the Catholic faith for families, in Spanish and English: short lessons taught by the saints, feast lessons through the year, and the Church’s prayers. Grown-ups do the full lesson, and each lesson has a version for children about 6 to 10. A grown-up should set the app up and do the lessons with younger children.
We write the lessons and make the pictures with the help of AI tools. The prayers are the Church’s standard texts, we quote a saint or the Bible only when we have a source, and for each answer we give the Catechism paragraph number to read. Rosal is a resource for families to learn the faith together; it isn’t an official publication of the Catholic Church and doesn’t replace your parish’s catechesis.
Patron subscription
- Unit 1 and the feast lessons are free. Patron is an optional subscription that opens Units 2 to 6 and pays for new units as we publish them.
- You buy Patron through the App Store, and Apple’s terms apply to the purchase. Your use of the app is also covered by Apple’s standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement.
- The price and how often you’ll be charged are shown before you buy. The subscription renews automatically until you cancel it.
- If your plan starts with a free trial, you’ll be charged when the trial ends unless you cancel at least 24 hours before. If you allow notifications, the app reminds you 2 days before the trial ends.
- Cancel anytime in your iPhone’s subscription settings. Deleting the app doesn’t cancel it. After you cancel, Patron stays open until the end of the period you’ve paid for. How to cancel.
- Refunds are handled by Apple under its own rules. We can’t issue them ourselves, but we’re glad to help you ask.
For your family
The lessons, pictures and audio in the app belong to us or are licensed to us. You’re welcome to use them at home with your family, and to share the holy cards the app makes. Please don’t copy, sell, re-upload or publish the lessons without asking us first. If you’d like to use them in a parish, school or classroom, write to us. The prayers themselves belong to the whole Church, and you’re always free to pray them.
No guarantees
We work hard to make the app accurate and reliable. Still, the app is provided “as is”, and to the extent the law allows, we make no promises beyond what these terms say and aren’t responsible for indirect losses from using it. Nothing here takes away rights you have under the law where you live.
Privacy
Your family’s details stay on your phone. Read the Privacy Policy for the details.
Changes
We may update the app and these terms. If the terms change, we’ll post the new version here with a new effective date.
