Privacy Policy

Rosal
Effective date: 28 October 2026

Rosal is a course in the Catholic faith for families. It is run by Francisco Barros (“we”), who also makes Little Prayer Stories. This policy explains, in plain words, what the app keeps and where it goes.

The short version: there is no account, no ads and no tracking. Your family’s details stay on your phone. We don’t collect personal information about you or your children.

What stays on your phone

The app saves these on your phone so it can work. They are never sent to us or anyone else:

  • Your language (Spanish or English).
  • Your family: the first name you give each person, whether they are a grown-up or a child, and a child’s age if you add one. Names let each person keep their own XP and collection, and a child’s age is only kept on the phone.
  • Your choices, such as the weekly XP goal, the daily reminder time, narration on or off, and what you hoped to learn when you set up the app.
  • Progress: which lessons each person finished and when, XP, the family streak and your family’s tilma (the roses, saints and prayers you collected).
  • Patron status: whether your subscription is active, so the lessons stay open offline.

The lessons, pictures and narration are inside the app, so it doesn’t download them from us.

If your phone backs up its apps to iCloud, this information may be part of that backup, which Apple handles under its own policy.

No account, no ads, no tracking

  • You never sign up or log in.
  • There are no ads.
  • There is no tracking, analytics or advertising software in the app, and we don’t follow you across other apps or websites.
  • We don’t run a server that receives your personal information.

Purchases

The Patron subscription is sold only through the App Store. Apple handles your payment; we never see your card or your name. To manage your subscription we use RevenueCat, which receives purchase details from Apple (such as which plan you bought, when, and an anonymous ID created when the app is installed) so the app knows your subscription is active and can restore it on a new phone. RevenueCat also shows us anonymous totals, such as how many trials started or subscriptions renewed. None of this is linked to you or your family. This is the only information the app sends over the internet.

  • Apple: https://www.apple.com/legal/privacy/
  • RevenueCat: https://www.revenuecat.com/privacy/

You cancel or change your subscription in your iPhone’s subscription settings.

Notifications

The daily lesson reminder and the reminder 2 days before a free trial ends are scheduled on your phone. They are not sent from a server. The daily reminder stops by itself after 7 days without a lesson. You can turn reminders off in the app’s Settings or in your iPhone’s settings.

Holy cards

When you share a holy card, the app makes the picture on your phone and hands it to your phone’s share sheet. Where it goes next (WhatsApp, Messages, your photos) is up to you, and we don’t see it.

Ratings and crash reports

After a few lessons the app may show Apple’s rating prompt once. Apple runs that prompt. If you allow your iPhone to share diagnostics with app developers, Apple may send us anonymous crash reports. You control this in your iPhone’s settings.

Children’s privacy

Rosal is a family app: a grown-up sets it up, and each lesson has a version for children about 6 to 10 to do with their parents. We take children’s privacy seriously, in the spirit of the U.S. Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). We don’t collect personal information from children. Their names and ages stay on the phone. A grown-up question guards Settings and the few links that leave the app, and the app has no ads and no tracking.

This website uses no cookies and loads no third-party scripts.

Deleting your information

  • Settings › Family lets you remove a person. Their finished lessons stay in the family’s record so the streak and roses don’t change.
  • Deleting the app removes everything it saved on your phone.
  • Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription. Cancel it in your iPhone’s subscription settings. Purchase records kept by Apple and RevenueCat follow their policies; write to us if you’d like help with them.

Changes

If this policy changes, we’ll post the new version here with a new effective date.
